As part of the National Pulse Polio Immunization Day, the AgnesTowards Community (ATC) of St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, actively participated in a community outreach programme by assisting primary healthcare officials in administering polio drops to children across the adopted villages of Kotekar, Bagambila, Kinya, and Beeri.

Students from the final BA and BSc programmes of ATC carried out a door-to-door polio immunization drive in Kotekar, Amblamogaru, and Beeri villages on 29th and 30th of June from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

The volunteers visited households, ensured that eligible children received polio drops, and created awareness among parents about the importance of timely immunization and polio prevention.

The initiative was conducted in coordination with primary healthcare officials to strengthen immunization coverage and ATC of St Agnes College, under the guidance of Coordinator Dr Shailaja HG.

The programme reflected the college’s commitment to social responsibility and community engagement through meaningful outreach activities.
